Outdoor Learning Programme
Our outdoor learning programme is underpinned by the principles of sustainability, citizenship and social responsibility aligned with Singapore’s Green Plan 2030 and the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
Through our outdoor learning programme, children have multiple opportunities to have direct personal contact with nature, which promotes the enjoyment of outdoor experiences and nature. These experiences provide opportunities for outdoor recreation and nature experiences, which support personal health and well-being and provide the foundations for ecological literacy.
Our Classroom Just Got Bigger!

Children are also provided with experiences such as urban farming, which provides them with new perspectives on living and nature relationships. As children interact with the world around them, they reflect on healthy alternatives for everyday living and lay vital foundations for sustainability and stewardship into the future.
Children are also provided with an abundance of immersive and sensitising experiences of the natural world and opportunities for risky play so that they develop the competence to assess risk and make judgements on risk management in the outdoor environment.
The outdoor programme is instrumental in teaching self-reliance, interdependence, and leadership, developing an adventurous spirit, managing personal risks, safe explorations in nature, the value of life-long outdoor recreation for enjoyment, health, and well-being, understanding nature through direct experience, and developing deeper human-nature relationships.
