Aquaponics Programme
Our Aquaponics Programme brings sustainability to life through joyful, hands-on learning. In our specially designed Aquaponics garden, children discover how fish, plants, and people work together in harmony. As they care for living things and watch the natural cycle unfold, they begin to understand important lessons about responsibility, teamwork, and care for the environment - all through exploration and play.
A Real-Life Ecosystem Understanding
Our children don’t just learn about nature - they experience it. In our Aquaponics garden, they explore how fish and plants depend on each other to grow. They observe how fish help nourish the plants, while the plants keep the water clean for the fish. Through daily care and observation, children begin to understand the beauty of balance in nature and their own role as caretakers of living things.

Key Learning Outcomes:
Learning through Sustainable Systems - Aquaponics systems use up to 90% less water than traditional farming. Through hands-on experience, children explore scientific concepts while gaining a practical understanding of resource efficiency, renewable practices, and environmental stewardship.
Food and Nutrition - This programme enables children to grow a variety of vegetables, herbs, and fruits in limited spaces while observing the aquaculture of fish farming. This sparks discussions about protein sources, healthy diets, and alternative food systems, broadening their perspectives on nutrition and healthy eating.
Encouraging Innovation and Problem Solving - Aquaponics encourages creativity and critical thinking. Children learn to troubleshoot and maintain balanced systems by monitoring water quality or experimenting with different plant-fish combinations. They see firsthand how small adjustments impact the whole system, developing adaptability and analytical skills.
Our young gardeners harvested fresh mint from our Aquaponics farm and turned their bounty into exciting learning adventures!

Our Farm-to-Table Family Experience brings learning to life in the most delicious way. In collaboration with The Dempsey Project, V-Plus Agritech, and chef Jeremy Nguee, children and their families harvested fresh herbs and vegetables grown in our Aquaponics garden, then prepared and shared a meal together.
The event marked the culmination of our Aquaponics learning journey - connecting classroom discovery with real-world experience. Children saw where food came from, understood the importance of caring for our planet, and experienced the joy of creating and sharing something they had grown themselves.
Parents described it as a truly special day - a chance to see their children’s curiosity, pride, and care for the environment in action, all within the warmth of our preschool community.
