SJI International Preschool Receives the Yellow Flame Award at the 2025 School Green Awards

SJI International Preschool is delighted to announce that we have been awarded the Yellow Flame Award at the School Green Awards 2025, organised by the Singapore Environment Council.

This award recognises schools that achieve an overall sustainability score between 80% and 90%, and we are honoured to have our efforts acknowledged at the national level.

A key initiative highlighted in our submission was our Aquaponics Programme, which brings sustainability to life through hands-on, meaningful encounters with nature. In caring for fish and tending to plants within our aquaponics system, children observe how living things support one another and how resources can be used responsibly. These authentic experiences nurture curiosity, empathy, and thoughtful habits that lay the foundations for long-term environmental stewardship.

This achievement reflects the dedication of our entire community - children, educators, staff, and families - who work together each day to cultivate a culture of sustainability within our school.

At SJI International Preschool, we believe that environmental understanding begins with meaningful experiences and small, everyday actions. The Yellow Flame Award affirms our continued commitment to nurturing young eco-stewards who will care for the Earth with compassion, curiosity, and responsibility.
