Roy Quek Hong Sheng

Roy Quek is an alumnus of St Anthony's Boys' School, St Joseph's Institution, Hwa Chong Junior College, the London School of Economics & Political Science and Peking University.

From 1994 to 2015, he was a member of the Singapore Civil Service. He served with the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Community, Youth & Sports, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Home Affairs and the Prime Minister's Office. After 21 years of public service, Roy now devotes his time to philanthropic endeavours and private investments.

Esmond Choo

Esmond holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) Degree from the University of Melbourne and is a Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand member.  He is currently the Non-Executive Non-Independent Director of UOB-Kay Hian Holdings Limited.  He was the emeritus Chairman of UOB Kay Hian Securities (M) Sdn Bhd.

He had proactively served in various industry committees and was the past Chairman of the Stockbrokers Association of Singapore from 2009 to 2012.  In recognition of his contribution to the Securities and Futures industry, Mr. Choo was conferred the title IBF Distinguished Fellow in 2014.

Mr. Choo has accumulated substantial experience in the finance and insurance sectors since 1986.

For Community service, he serves as a member of the Asian Advisory Board of the University of Melbourne, Board Governor and Treasurer of St. Joseph’s Institution International Preschool in Singapore.

Sr Elizabeth BL Tan

Sr Elizabeth BL Tan is a member of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary, a religious order founded by Blessed Mary of the Passion in 1877. 

She underwent her Pastoral Care training in a few hospitals in Manila such as St. Luke’s Medical Centre, University of Santos Tomas Hospital, Makati Medical Centre and Quirino Memorial Medical Centre (which is a public hospital) and San Pedro Hospital Davao City, Mindanao in the southern part of Philippines. Sr Liz is a certified supervisor for the CPE Program conferred by the Clinical Pastoral Education & Care Foundation, Inc. of Philippines.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Religious Studies from the Institute of Formation and Religious Studies in 2007 and obtained her Masters in Theology from Ateneo De Manila University in 2015. In 2022, she was appointed the Provincial of Malaysia/Singapore, and in 2023, was elected to the Regional Leadership Team as a Regional Councillor for Malaysia/ Singapore.

Besides her leadership role in the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary,  she also sits on the Board of Assunta Hospital and is the Chairperson of Assunta Integrated Social Services (ASSISS), the charity arm of Assunta Hospital.

Br Lawrence Humphrey, FSC

Br Lawrence Humphrey, FSC is a De La Salle Brother from the United States who is presently serving as Brother President of SJI International.

Br Lawrence is a native of Louisville, Kentucky. He entered the De La Salle Brothers after graduation from secondary school, and completed his studies at Christian Brothers University (BA) in Memphis, Tennessee, the University of San Francisco (MA), and The Catholic University of America (Adv. Graduate Certificate)

Before coming to SJI International he was Vice President for Mission at Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota. Most of his years as a De La Salle Brother have been spent in school administration, although he has also been a teacher of History, Geography, and Religious Studies.

Chris Woo

Chris is an alumnus of St Michael's School, St Joseph's Institution, King's College School (UK) and Victoria University of Wellington (NZ), and is a Singapore Chartered Tax Professional.

Chris served as Head of Tax at PwC Singapore and Myanmar from 2014 to 2024, and previously held the role of Tax Director at General Electric for six years. He has served on the boards of the Singapore Institute of Accredited Tax Professionals and the Singapore Tax Academy, and was also Treasurer of the Yellow Ribbon Fund. 

Since 2023, Chris has served as PwC’s Asia Pacific Tax Leader, bringing over 35 years of experience in international taxation and deal advisory.

Gabriel Lim

Mr Gabriel Lim is the CEO of Seviora Holdings with effect from 1 September 2025.

Prior to joining Seviora, Mr Lim served as Joint Head of Corporate Strategy in Temasek. Before that, he spent 26 years in the Singapore Civil Service, retiring as Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Mr Lim also served as Permanent Secretary of the former-Ministry of Communications and Information, CEO of the Infocomm Media Development Authority and Principal Private Secretary to former Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

Mr Lim graduated from Stanford University’s Sloan Management Programme with an M.Sc in Management under the Lee Kuan Yew scholarship. Mr Lim also holds an M.Sc in Economics from the London School of Economics and a BA in Economics from the University of Cambridge.

Mr Lim serves on the Board of CapitaLand Investment Limited, St. Joseph’s Institution International, St. Joseph’s Institution International Elementary School, and St. Joseph’s Institution International Preschool.

Mr Lim is married to Sharon, a lawyer, and has four beautiful children.

Derek Loh

Derek is a trained barrister with a Master of Arts (Law) with honours from Cambridge University. Since commencing practice, he has focused on the area of construction, engineering and infrastructure law. His experience in construction and engineering is extensive and has acted for multiple international contractors and employers.

Derek sits as an independent director in a number of listed companies (both in Singapore and abroad). As part of social responsibility, Derek works with the Lasallian Mission in its educational activities.

Christina Tang-Lien

Christina has a Bachelor in Education, Psychology from The University of Melbourne, a Masters in Education, School Counselling from University of Buffalo, SUNY and an Advanced Diploma in Special Needs Education, Singapore. She has been a member of the Singapore Association of Counselling since 2010.

Christina obtained her Diploma in Early Years Learning, Montessori Education, London in 1990 and started her career in 1991 as an Early Childhood Educator in Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore for 20 years.

In 2007, she moved on to work with at-risk teens and from 2009 to 2018, was at St Joseph’s Institution where she was tasked to build and train a team of counsellors. She was also responsible for putting together a Careers and Cyber Wellness Programme, working closely with the Ministry of Education to roll out these initiatives as nation-wide programmes.

Lee Kok Fatt

Kok Fatt is currently the Managing Director of Rysense Ltd, a market research company focussed on socio-economic issues affecting Singapore.

He started his career in the Singapore Civil Service where he served in various appointments in government agencies such as the Singapore Customs, Ministry of Finance and the Office of the Singapore President. He authored the book “Singapore’s Fiscal Strategies for Growth – A Journey of Self-Reliance”. He sits on the Board of Prestige Biopharma and EV-Electric Charging Pte Ltd.

Hui Hwa Koh-Minjoot, PBM

Hui Hwa has over 25 years of pharmaceutical and healthcare management experience, helming leadership roles in multinational companies based in Singapore. Prior to her current role as VP at IHH Healthcare, she was the Chief. Executive Officer, Gleneagles Hospital Singapore, part of IHH Healthcare group of hospitals.

Hui Hwa’s pharmaceutical industry experience included commercial and product development at GlaxoSmithKline and Abbott Laboratories. Prior to joining Gleneagles, she was the Regional General Manager at Abbott Laboratories, and Managing Director at Abbott Laboratories (Singapore) Pte Ltd.

Hui Hwa is a registered pharmacist and has worked as a hospital pharmacist in the UK (NHS) and Singapore (MOH), after graduating from King’s College, University of London with a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons). She received her post-graduate business management and executive leadership training from Imperial College Business School, INSEAD, Northwestern University School of Management Chicago and Universite de Montreal.

A mother of 3, Hui Hwa is currently a member of the Singapore Pharmacy Board, and Board member of Singapore Cancer Society and Archdiocesan Commission for Migrants and Itinerants. Hui Hwa received the Public Service Medal (Pingat Bakti Masyarakat) at the 2019 National Day Award for her contributions to the South West Community Development Council where she is a District Councillor and Vice-Chair of Healthy Lifestyle Committee. “The Essential Guide for First Time Asian Mums & Dads from Pregnancy to Pre-school” was her first book to be published by Marshall Cavandish in 2010.
